Swimming Pool Technician

Role Purpose:

The Swimming Pool Technician is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of swimming pools and related equipment. The role ensures water quality, safety standards, and proper functioning of pool systems to provide a clean and safe environment for users.

Key Task and Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning of pools, including skimming, vacuuming, and brushing.
• Monitor and maintain proper water chemistry (pH, chlorine, etc.).
• Inspect, maintain, and repair pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, and valves.
• Conduct regular backwashing and filter maintenance.
• Identify and troubleshoot system issues and carry out necessary repairs.
• Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and water test results.
• Report major faults and coordinate with supervisors for corrective actions.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

• 2–4 years of experience in pool maintenance or a similar technical role.
• Knowledge of pool filtration systems, plumbing, and electrical components.
• Familiarity with water treatment and chemical handling.
• Basic understanding of safety regulations and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to use maintenance tools and equipment effectively.
