Senior Pool Technician

Role Purpose:

The Senior Pool Technician is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of swimming pools, water features, and related systems. The role ensures that pool water quality, filtration systems, and equipment are maintained in compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.

Key Task and Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of swimming pools and water features.
• Monitor and maintain water quality, chemical balance, and sanitation levels.
• Operate and maintain pool filtration systems, pumps, valves, and related equipment.
• Conduct water testing and adjust chemicals such as chlorine and pH levels accordingly.
• Inspect pool systems regularly and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair pool equipment and mechanical systems.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards related to pool operations.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, water tests, and chemical usage.
• Guide and support junior technicians or helpers during maintenance work.
• Report equipment issues, damages, or safety concerns to the supervisor.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

• Minimum 4–6 years of experience in swimming pool maintenance or similar facilities maintenance roles.
• Knowledge of pool filtration systems, pumps, and chemical treatment processes.
• Familiarity with water testing procedures and chemical handling.
• Understanding of health and safety standards for swimming pool operations.
• Technical certification in pool maintenance or related field is preferred.
