Senior Plumber

Role Purpose:

The Senior Plumber is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems within the facility. The role ensures the proper functioning of water supply, drainage, and sanitary systems while maintaining safety, efficiency, and compliance with maintenance standards.

Key Task and Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair water supply lines, drainage systems, and plumbing fixtures.
• Perform maintenance on pipes, valves, pumps, and sanitary fittings.
• Diagnose and repair leaks, blockages, and other plumbing issues.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of plumbing systems.
• Install and maintain bathroom fixtures, water heaters, and other plumbing equipment.
• Read and interpret plumbing drawings and layouts to carry out installations and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other technical teams for maintenance activities.
• Guide and support junior plumbers and helpers during maintenance work.
• Report material requirements, damages, or maintenance issues to the supervisor.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

• Minimum 4–6 years of experience in plumbing maintenance, preferably in facilities management or building maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, pipe fittings, and installation techniques.
• Ability to read and understand plumbing drawings and technical diagrams.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance procedures and safety practices.
• Technical certification or trade qualification in plumbing preferred.
