Draughtsman

Role Purpose:

To prepare, update, and maintain technical drawings, layouts, and as-built documentation related to mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and civil systems within facilities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project and regulatory standards.

Key Task and Responsibilities:

• The preparation of short-term working programmes in terms of labour, plant and timescale, for the labour.
• Develop detailed CAD drawings for MEP and civil works as per site and project requirements.
• Maintain and update as-built drawings based on site modifications and feedback from the maintenance team.
• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and technicians to gather data and verify on-site measurements.
• Ensure drawings comply with local regulations, company standards, and project specifications.
• Organize and archive drawing files and maintain a drawing control system for easy retrieval.
• Support space planning, asset tagging, and layout designs for renovations or new installations.
• Assist in preparing technical documentation for tenders, reports, and compliance submissions.
• Work closely with the CAFM or Maximo team to align drawings with asset data, where applicable.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

• Diploma or Certification in AutoCAD, Drafting, or Engineering discipline.
• 2–4 years of experience as a Draughtsman in Facilities Management or Construction.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, and knowledge of Revit or other BIM tools is an advantage.
• Familiarity with MEP systems and FM industry standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings.
• Good communication and time management skills.
