Safety Officer

Role Purpose:

As a Construction Safety Officer at Khansaheb Bespoke Contract LLC, your primary role is to ensure the safety and well-being of all employees, contractors, and subcontractors across a range of construction and fit out projects across the United Arab Emirates as per the safety guidelines. Collaborate closely to enhance the management system and ensure workplace Health safety and environment Compliance.
Act as a safety and well-being representative, communicating any such issues to the Project Manager for resolution. Your work will directly impact the prevention of accidents, incidents, and injuries, and will contribute to the establishment and maintenance of a robust safety culture within Khansaheb Bespoke Contracting.

Key Task and Responsibilities:

Safety Compliance: Monitor and Reporting adherence to safety Management Systems, work permits, regulations, standards, and company policies, to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.

Safety Inspections: Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.

Training: Develop and deliver toolbox talks for employees and contractors to promote awareness and ensure compliance with safety protocols.

Safety Documentation: Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, near misses, and safety reports, and ensure all necessary documentation is up to date.

Emergency Response: Implement emergency response plans and procedures, and conduct drills to ensure the readiness of the workforce in case of emergencies.

Safety Culture: Promote a strong safety culture among employees, contractors, and subcontractors, emphasizing the importance of safety in all aspects of construction work.

Safety Equipment: Ensure the availability and proper usage of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety equipment at construction sites.

Regulatory Compliance: Stay up to date with local safety regulations and industry standards, and ensure that the company is compliant with all relevant requirements.

Incident Investigation & Reporting: Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Wellbeing: Acting as Health, Safety Wellbeing representative for your work colleagues and reporting issues to the Senior Health Safety Officer.

Reporting: Provide regular safety reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
Certification in safety management (e.g., NEBOSH IGC, IOSH) is preferred.
Proven experience as a Construction Safety Officer in the construction industry.
Knowledge of UAE safety and environmental regulations and standards.
Preferred Trakhees & Abu Dhabi, Approved Safety Engineer
Knowledge of effective use of Microsoft Office,
Strong communication and training skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team and foster a safety-conscious culture.
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
Must be fluent in Hindi & Urdu, English speaking, knowledge of other languages advantageous but not necessary.
